Apart from numerous incentives, family businesses may benefit from the Family Business Grant meant to aid and address transitory issues such as advisory and mediation services.
Eligible family businesses may make use of up to EU 15,000 in any rolling three-year period subject to Malta Enterprise terms and conditions.
To be eligible for this assistance, businesses must meet the following criteria;
- The applicant must be registered as a Family Business with the Family Business Office.
- The applicant must not have any arrears related to VAT, Income Tax, and Social Security.
- The applicant must not be engaged in activities specifically excluded under the de minimis
Regulation (these can be found on the Malta Enterprise website)
It is important to note however that any costs incurred before the submission of application will not be considered eligible and prospective clients should therefore contact the Family Business office to request pre-authoristaion for any mediation or advisory services to be acquired.
Applications may be submitted until the 30th of November, 2023
